PRESS RELEASE 23-11-2007
AIRCRAFT INVESTMENT ON SCHEDULE
Doric has invested in a new Airbus A330-200 (MSN 883), which will be leased long term to Air Mauritius.
During the customer acceptance flight, the aircraft experienced a decompression during cruise due to a faulty seal. During the event, the three pilots in the cockpit used their oxygen masks. Normal procedures were applied and the aircraft landed safely. The remaining seven persons had no immediate access to oxygen masks and briefly lost consciousness. As a precautionary measure the passengers were taken to hospital but have now been released.
The delivery to Doric Flugzeugfonds 2 will take place next week as scheduled and there is expected to be no negative impact from this incident. Test flights are conducted prior to the acceptance of the aircraft to ensure that the aircraft is fully operational.
Distribution of the fund commences today through the Genossenschaftlicher Finanzverbund in Germany. Doric plans further aircraft acquisitions in the near future.
Doric Asset Finance offers investments in real assets – including aircraft, ships, commercial real estate and renewable energy.
