Mark Hackforth-Jones' focus at Doric is on developing the aviation business, with particular focus on the field of aircraft finance, where he is involved in sourcing, structuring and managing the company's aviation assets.
Mark comes to Doric from a long and distinguished career in international banking, and over 15 years in the aviation industry dealing with and advising airlines, tour operators, and aerospace manufacturers in European and emerging markets. He has been responsible for client relationships and risk management with a strong involvement in deal structuring, particularly transactions for the airline industry.
Up until 2005, Mark was a Managing Director and Senior Credit Officer in Citigroup's Global Aviation Department with overall account management responsibility for airlines and aerospace companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Mark speaks French, Italian and German. He holds an MA in Economics from Cambridge University and is a qualified FCCA accountant.
He is now also a consultant to other aviation-related businesses and is a guest lecturer on airline finance at Cranfield University, UK.
